Benjamin Lazzarus is a French composer, producer, keyboardist and sound designer whose work lies at the crossroads of electronic music, ambient and cinematic sound. Since the early 2000s, he has developed a distinctive sonic universe shaped by analog synthesizers, piano and organic textures, creating music that transcends genres to evoke images, emotions and imaginary landscapes.

His fascination with keyboards began in childhood and gradually evolved into a deep passion for analog synthesizers. Early in his career, he worked in Paris with Malcolm McLaren, the legendary figure behind the Sex Pistols, composing and recording several tracks for him. One of these compositions would later feature in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Volume 2. He subsequently settled in Nantes, where he established his own studio and, from 2017 onwards, composed and produced more than 500 tracks for Tency Music, alongside sound design and sonic identity projects for clients including the UEFA Champions League and Alpe d’Huez.

Alongside his work for other artists and brands, Benjamin has steadily built a personal body of work, including La Cité, Le Passager, the Only One Machine series and Dust. Each project reflects his fascination with sound exploration and the expressive possibilities of electronic instruments. In Only One Machine, each composition is built around a single analog synthesizer, revealing the unique character and creative potential of each machine.

His artistic influences range from Pink Floyd and Daft Punk to Philip Glass, Rone and Max Cooper. Drawing on electronic music, synth-pop and ambient, his compositions unfold like film scores without images, moving between introspective piano melodies, hypnotic rhythms and expansive electronic textures. His music invites listeners into a world where science fiction meets intimate contemplation, and where sound becomes a language of its own.
With WELCOME HOME, released on the Bensound label, and Duality, Benjamin Lazzarus takes this exploration further, bringing acoustic and electronic elements into a delicate and powerful dialogue. Piano and synthesizers, organic textures and electronic pulses come together to create immersive, luminous soundscapes. Moving between melancholy and transcendence, fragility and intensity, his music explores the passage of time, the mysteries of the universe and the evolving relationship between humanity and machines.
